Torquay, Dartmouth, Paignton, Totnes and Brixham

Torquay
As well as an abundance of well-known high street stores, Torquay is also home to many fine family owned shops, restaurants and cafes. There is also the Pavillion Shopping Centre in Torquay's best loved historic building which is now home to a plethora of boutiques, cafes and craft shops. The town centre of Torquay is within walking distance of the hotel or, if preferred, the local bus route stops directly outside the hotel.

Paignton
Families love Paignton. During the summer months, life seems to revolve around the sea front with its long sandy beaches, colourful atmosphere and paddler-friendly waters. Just a little way from the sea, the majestic Oldway Mansion, formerly the residence of the famous Singer Family, stands proud in its landscaped gardens. Of course, there are also the attractions of Paignton Zoo, Devon Beaches, Quaywest Waterpark and the Paignton to Dartmouth Steam Railway.

Brixham
Life centres around the harbour and bustle of one of Britain's busiest fishing ports. Wander around many of the shops, watch the fishermen unload their daily catch or take a peek at the aspiring artists who gather at Artist's Corner. Away from the harbour you can lose yourself in a maze of narrow winding streets and within walking distance from the town centre, you will find some of the English Riviera's most spectacular scenery.

Dartmouth
This historic quayside town, situated on the banks of the River Dart, is filled with narrow, winding streets, hidden steps and offers many restaurants, cafes, boutiques and stylish galleries. Home to the magnificent Royal Naval College and an historic castle, a fine Norman fortress. Take a short trip up river to Totnes or a day trip out to sea along the coast to Brixham.

Totnes
An ancient market town and river port in the South Hams area of South Devon. Mellow with age, yet lively and forward-looking, it covers a long hill sloping gently to the Dart estuary and is surrounded by rich and beautiful Devon countryside. The busy, narrow streets, dominated by the castle and church tower, are full of architectural and historic interest, while the green horizon is always visible just beyond the houses.
