The Palace Hotel has put together the following information page to assist you during your stay:
Guests and visitors to our Devon Hotel, Torquay, will find ample parking closely situated to the main hotel entrance. Guests with disabilities or walking difficulties may wish to contact the hotel in advance to reserve a parking space directly opposite the entrance. Our team of Porters will be happy to carry your cases to your room while you check-in. Guests may wish to reserve a space in our garage for a small additional charge. Visitors attending the hotel for a conference or function will find overflow parking to the rear of the hotel, next to our tennis courts.
Regrettably, with the exception of guide dogs, dogs are not permitted at the hotel and are not allowed in the public areas or hotel gardens.
A guest laundry room is situated on the second floor, which is equipped with an iron and ironing board, washing machine and tumble dryer. Tokens for these machines are available for purchase from the hotel reception. An iron and board may be delivered to a guest’s room by contacting the Housekeeper or Porters' desk.
For dry-cleaning or specially laundered items, guests are welcome to complete the appropriate form provided in their room and place items of clothing into the designated bags.
Lifts are available to all floors of the hotel and Porters are on hand to assist with luggage.
Guests will find a helpful compendium in their rooms, supplying a range of information to include local chemists, churches, shops, restaurants and various local attractions. If guests cannot find what they require within the pack, our Receptionist or Porter will be more than happy to help. The hotel is a "no smoking" establishment.
Rooms are available from 2pm on the day of arrival, although every effort is made to have your room ready for check-in before this time. Please state when making your initial reservation if you specifically require your room before this time and we will endeavour to accommodate your request. Guests are asked to vacate their room before 11am on the day of their departure.
Although all leisure and sporting facilities are complimentary when staying at the hotel, a small charge is made for hire of equipment, such as golf clubs and tennis/squash rackets/balls.
A guest PC is available in the Writing Room for anyone wishing to use the internet or email family and friends. Time cards may be purchased from Reception to obtain access.
Every effort is made to accommodate guests' needs, but we would request advance notification of any special dietary requirements.
A £50.00 deposit is required per adult, with payment by cheque or debit/credit card (excluding last minute bookings, for which payment on arrival will be requested). The management reserves the right to vary the terms included in the tariff. All rates include VAT. Payment made with major credit and debit cards is accepted.
Confirmed bookings which subsequently cancel will be subject to charge if the accommodation remains unsold. Insurance cover is strongly recommended (details available). If a reservation is cancelled, the deposit is held over for six months for a future stay. If you do not re-book within that time, the deposit is forfeited.
